The next stop on our tour of team members working from home due to the COVID-19 pandemic is the husband and wife team of Scott and Michelle Lewis.
Michelle was our predecessor company's (New England Peptide) first employee. Having been at the company for over 20 years, she has worn many hats over that time. From the purification lab, production, sales, and service, Michelle has a depth of knowledge of the daily workings of the business that few can match. She currently serves as the Vice President of Customer Support for vivitide. In her ‘off’ time, Michelle is the mother of three witty teenagers. She enjoys riding her indoor “bike that goes nowhere” and taking walks with her Save-A-Lab rescue, Stella.
Scott is the Director of Immunology for vivitide and oversees all antibody work, recombinant protein generation, and peptide conjugation requests. He is also technical lead for – and co-inventor of – the Vn96 reagent in the ME™ Kit for Exosome Isolation. With over 20 years of experience in bioinformatics and antibody production, Scott has developed industry-leading methods of antigen design, giving researchers the best chances of success at making any kind of antibody that is required. At home, Scott enjoys creating new dishes in the kitchen, playing hockey, home improvement projects, reading, movies, genealogy, trivia, teaching his kids how to be witty, and being Stella’s “one true love”.
