One-Letter-Code: The sequence of the first five N-terminal amino acids was determined and was found to be Met-Gln-Gly-Tyr-Leu.
Description: IFN-gamma Rat Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 135 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 15609 Dalton. The IFN-gamma is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
Protein Derived From: Escherichia Coli.
Physical Appearance: Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.
Purity: Greater than 95.0% as determined by:(a) Analysis by RP-HPLC.(b) Analysis by SDS-PAGE.
Stability: Lyophilized IFN-gamma although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18C. Upon reconstitution IFN-gamma should be stored at 4C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18C.For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Biological Activity: The specific activity as determined by the cytopathic affect inhibition assay with murine L929 cells chalenged with EMC virus was < 0.1 ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of 10,000,000units/mg.
Solubility: It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized IFN-gamma in sterile 18MOmegacm H2O not less than 100microg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
