Description: Fibroblast Growth Factor-9 Human Recombinant produced in E.coli is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 207 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 23.4 kDa. The FGF-9 is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
Protein Derived From: Escherichia coli.
Physical Appearance: Sterile Filtered white lyophilized powder.
Purity: Greater than 95.0% as determined by RP-HPLC and SDS-PAGE.
Stability: Lyophilized Fibroblast Growth Factor 9 Human Recombinant although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution FGF-9 should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C.For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Biological Activity: The ED50, calculated by the dose-dependant proliferation of BAF3 cells expressing FGF receptors (measured by 3H-thymidine uptake) is <0.5ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of 2,000,000 Units/mg.
Solubility: It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Fibroblast Growth Factor-9 Human Recombinant sterile 18M-cm H2O not less than 100µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Special Note(s): ProSpec's products are furnished for LABORATORY RESEARCH USE ONLY.They may not be used as drugs, agricultural or pesticidal products, food additives or household chemicals.
